The McCool Junction Mustangs basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Meridian Mustangs to 19 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harvard for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. McCool Junction will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 49-25 non-league loss to Kenesaw (Kenesaw, NE). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-9.

The Mustangs (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Shelby-Rising City triumphed over Clarkson/Leigh (Clarkson, NE), 67-65, in a non-league contest.
