In Saturday's non-league contest, the host East Greenwich Avengers ice hockey team scored a close 6-1 victory over the Cranston East Thunderbolts.

The Avengers (10-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cumberland (Cumberland, RI). The Clippers go into the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Cumberland edged Cranston West (Cranston, RI), 4-1, in a league contest.
