In Friday's league outing, the Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting La Plata Warriors (La Plata, MD), by a margin of 56-13.

The Hornets (7-2) will now prepare for their outing against McDonough (Pomfret, MD). The Rams go into the Southern Maryland outing with a 3-3 record. In their last outing, McDonough was trounced by Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD), 54-17, in a league outing.

The Warriors now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Calvert for a Southern Maryland outing on Wednesday, January 10. La Plata will clash with a Cavaliers squad coming off a 45-8 league loss to St. Charles (Waldorf, MD). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-6.
