South Carolina High School Basketball - Newberry Academy topped by King Academy
January 6, 2023: Newberry, SC 29108 The King Academy Knights basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the host Newberry Academy to 29 in the Knights league victory on Friday.
The Knights now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Curtis Baptist for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. King Academy will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 81-43 non-league loss to Laurens Academy (Laurens, SC). The Crusaders record now stands at 5-6.
The (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Wardlaw Academy (Johnston, SC). The Patriots come into the SCISA A Region IV contest with a 0-9 record. In their last contest, Wardlaw Academy was defeated by Cambridge Academy (Greenwood, SC), 54-35, in a league contest.
