South Carolina High School Basketball - Newberry Academy beaten by King Academy
January 31, 2023: Batesburg, SC 29006 The King Academy Knights ran past the visiting Newberry Academy basketball team by a final score of 35-23 in Tuesday's league game.
In their next game, the Knights face the Oconee Christian Academy Warriors (Seneca, SC) in a SCISA A Region IV game, on Friday, February 3. King Academy will attempt to move on its 17-5 season record. The Warriors enter the game with a 7-16 record after their 52-39 league loss to Laurens Academy (Laurens, SC).
With the defeat, Newberry Academy moves to 10-13 on the year. The travel to Wardlaw Academy (Johnston, SC) to face the Patriots in a SCISA A Region IV game on Friday, February 3. The Patriots enter the game with a record of 1-19. Wardlaw Academy won 55-53 in their recent league game against Cambridge Academy (Greenwood, SC)
