South Carolina High School Basketball - Our Lady of the Rosary over Newberry Academy
January 30, 2023: Newberry, SC 29108 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Our Lady of the Rosary Lions (Greenville, SC) and the host Newberry Academy (Newberry, SC), saw Our Lady of the Rosary's basketball squad overcome Newberry Academy by a tally of 45-34.
With the victory, Our Lady of the Rosary improves its record to 14-6 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Cambridge Academy (Greenwood, SC) to confront the Cougars in a SCISA A Region IV challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 2-15. Cambridge Academy lost 55-53 in their recent league challenge against Wardlaw Academy (Johnston, SC)
Next up, the confront the King Academy Knights (Batesburg, SC) in a SCISA A Region IV challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Newberry Academy will attempt to improve on its 10-12 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 16-5 record after their 37-23 league win over Wardlaw Academy (Johnston, SC).
