With the victory, Veterans Memorial advances its record to 10-16 on the year. The Chargers host Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX) to face the Falcons in a 6A Region IV District 32 match on Friday, January 10. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 19-7. Los Fresnos won 81-45 in their recent non-league match against Economedes (Edinburg, TX)
The Pirates now own a 17-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host La Feria for a 4A Region IV District 32 match on Friday, January 10. Hidalgo will face a Lions squad coming off a 49-40 non-league win over Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX). The Lions record now stands at 12-7.
