The Southwest DeKalb Panthers (Decatur, GA) basketball crushed the visiting Stone Mountain Pirates (Stone Mountain, GA), 68-18 in Saturday's league test.

The Panthers (11-1) will now prepare for their test against Stephenson (Stone Mountain, GA). The Jaguars go into the AAAA Region 6 test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Stephenson walloped Westminster (Atlanta, GA), 58-42, in a league test.

The Pirates now own a 1-10 record. They play next when they travel to Hapeville Charter for a AAAA Region 6 test on Tuesday, January 10. Stone Mountain will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 54-49 league win over Druid Hills (Atlanta, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 9-5.
