South Dakota High School Basketball - Corsica/Stickney fells Mt. Vernon/Plankinton
January 7, 2025: Corsica, SD 57328 The Corsica/Stickney Jaguars basketball team scored 60 points and limited the visiting Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans to 48 in the Jaguars non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Jaguars now have a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Platte/Geddes for a non-league game on Thursday, January 9. Corsica/Stickney will confront a Black Panthers team coming off a 72-42 non-league loss to Lennox (Lennox, SD). The Black Panthers record now stands at 3-3.
With the loss, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Titans host Tri-Valley (Colton, SD) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league game on Thursday, January 9. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 2-4. Tri-Valley lost 69-53 in their recent non-league game against Elkton/Lake Benton (Elkton, SD)
