February 13, 2025: Mt. Vernon, SD 57363 Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Ethan Rustlers (Ethan, SD), 61-39 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton upgrades its record to 4-13 on the year. The Titans host Bon Homme (Tyndall, SD) to face the Cavaliers in a A Region 5 match on Tuesday, February 18. The Cavaliers enter the match with a record of 3-15. Bon Homme lost 72-48 in their recent non-league match against Platte/Geddes (Platte, SD)
The Rustlers now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Freeman for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 18. Ethan will face a Flyers squad coming off a 68-56 non-league loss to St. Mary (Dell Rapids, SD). The Flyers record now stands at 13-4.
