Ohio High School Basketball - Pymatuning Valley nudges St. John
January 7, 2025: Ashtabula, OH 44004 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Pymatuning Valley Lakers (Andover, OH) and the host St. John Fighting Herald (Ashtabula, OH), observed Pymatuning Valley's basketball team edge St. John by a score of 63-59.
The Lakers (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Lordstown (Warren, OH). The Red Devils come into the Northeastern challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, Lordstown was tipped by Mathews (Vienna, OH), 64-19, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Fighting Herald encounter the Badger Braves (Kinsman, OH) in a Northeastern challenge, on Thursday, January 9. St. John will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 1-11 record after their 67-44 non-league loss to Western Reserve (Berlin Center, OH).
