The Meridian Mustangs basketball squad (Daykin, NE), was crushed 69-39 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting McCool Junction Mustangs (McCool Junction, NE)

With the victory, McCool Junction advances its record to 9-3 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Deshler (Deshler, NE) to meet the Dragons in a non-league battle on Friday, January 17. The Dragons enter the battle with a record of 6-4.

The Mustangs now own a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shelby-Rising City for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 11. Meridian will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 54-51 non-league loss to High Plains (Polk, NE). The Huskies record now stands at 3-5.
