The McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC), 47-42 in Tuesday's league test.

The Titans (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Erwin (Asheville, NC). The Warriors go into the 3A/4A Conference 53 test with a 4-11 record. In their last test, Erwin was tipped by T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC), 65-48, in a league test.
