North Carolina High School Basketball - R-S Central crushes McDowell

December 9, 2022: Marion, NC 28752

R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host McDowell Titans (Marion, NC), 55-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, R-S Central upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Hilltoppers travel to West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 3-3.

Next up, the Titans play the T.C. Roberson Rams (Asheville, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 53 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. McDowell will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 79-33 non-league loss to Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC).
