Maryland High School Basketball - Chopticon tops Patuxent
January 10, 2024: Morganza, MD 20660 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD) and the visiting Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD), saw Chopticon's basketball squad knock off Patuxent by a count of 33-24.
With the victory, Chopticon upgrades its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD) to play the Raiders in a Southern Maryland challenge on Friday, January 12. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. Leonardtown won 37-35 in their recent league challenge against Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD)
Next up, the Panthers play the Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Friday, January 12. Patuxent will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 54-41 league loss to St. Charles (Waldorf, MD).
