Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Ocean Lakes Dolphins (Virginia Beach, VA), 66-59 in a non-league test.

The Hawks (2-8) will now prepare for their test against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA). The Grizzlies go into the Southeastern test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, Grassfield was tipped by Norview (Norfolk, VA), 69-37, in a non-league test.
