Virginia High School Basketball - Hickory knocked off by Grassfield
February 9, 2024: Chesapeake, VA 23323 The Grassfield Grizzlies basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Hickory Hawks to 51 in the Grizzlies league triumph on Friday.
The Grizzlies now sport a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nansemond River for a Southeastern contest on Tuesday, February 13. Grassfield will meet a Warriors team coming off a 65-47 league loss to King's Fork (Suffolk, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 14-7.
The Hawks (2-18) will now prepare for their contest against Kellam (Virginia Beach, VA). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, Kellam was outscored by Salem (Virginia Beach, VA), 62-53, in a league contest.
