Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Academy of the New Church Lions (Bryn Athyn, PA) and the visiting Westtown (West Chester, PA), saw Academy of the New Church's basketball squad hold off Westtown by a tally of 62-56.

With the victory, Academy of the New Church improves its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Friends Select (Philadelphia, PA) to play the in a Friends Schools challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The come into the challenge with a record of 9-3.

Next up, the play the Prolific Prep of Napa Christian Crew (Napa, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Sunday, January 15. Westtown will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Crew come into the challenge with a 20-0 record after their 72-62 non-league win over Wasatch Academy (Mt. Pleasant, UT).
