East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC), 70-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, East Gaston upgrades its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Cherryville (Cherryville, NC) to play the Ironmen in a 1A/2A Conference 40 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Ironmen come into the bout with a record of 7-8. Cherryville won 85-62 in their recent non-league bout against Pinnacle Classical Academy (Shelby, NC)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 40 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Burns will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Gryphons come into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 72-26 league loss to Shelby (Shelby, NC).
