The Burns Bulldogs basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Highland Tech Rams to 67 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cherryville for a 1A/2A Conference 40 contest on Tuesday, December 20. Burns will meet a Ironmen team coming off a 69-46 league loss to Shelby (Shelby, NC). The Ironmen record now stands at 4-4.

The Rams (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC). The Gryphons enter the 1A/2A Conference 40 contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Thomas Jefferson was nudged by Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC), 81-55, in a league contest.
