Colorado High School Basketball - Brush can't hold off Weld Central

The Weld Central Rebels basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the visiting Brush Beetdiggers to 36 in the Rebels league victory on Saturday.

The Rebels now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sterling for a 4A Patriot contest on Tuesday, January 16. Weld Central will battle a Tigers team coming off a 54-18 league loss to Eaton (Eaton, CO). The Tigers record now stands at 5-5.

The Beetdiggers (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Frontier Academy (Greeley, CO). The Wolverines come into the 3A Patriot contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Frontier Academy was nudged by Valley (Gilcrest, CO), 53-12, in a non-league contest.
