The Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats basketball squad (Charlotte, NC), lost 73-62 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Carolina International Comets (Concord, NC)

With the victory, Carolina International advances its record to 12-4 on the year. The Comets host Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Mariners in a 1A Metro 8 battle on Friday, January 17. The Mariners enter the battle with a record of 9-5. Jackson Day won 67-63 in their recent league battle against Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC)

The Wildcats now own a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valor Preparatory Academy for a 1A Metro 8 battle on Friday, January 17. Sugar Creek Charter will meet a Owls squad coming off a 101-54 non-league win over Charlotte Lab School (Charlotte, NC). The Owls record now stands at 5-10.
