Illinois High School Basketball - Lincoln-Way Central can't hold off Homewood-Flossmoor
January 17, 2023: Flossmoor, IL 60422 The Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Lincoln-Way Central Knights to 53 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Vikings now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sandburg for a SouthWest Suburban - Blue contest on Friday, January 20. Homewood-Flossmoor will battle a Eagles team coming off a 61-50 non-league win over St. Francis de Sales (Chicago, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 8-13.
The Knights (6-13) will now prepare for their contest against Chicago Vocational (Chicago, IL). The Cavaliers enter the non-league contest with a 2-12 record. In their last contest, Chicago Vocational was nudged by Agricultural Science (Chicago, IL), 62-46, in a league contest.
