The Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) basketball nipped the host Rider Raiders (Wichita Falls, TX), 56-51 in Wednesday's league test.

The Bearcats (13-10) will now prepare for their test against Northwest (Justin, TX). The Texans go into the 5A Region I District 5 test with a 8-19 record. In their last test, Northwest was tipped by Saginaw (Saginaw, TX), 55-42, in a league test.

The Raiders now own a 7-16 record. They play next when they travel to Brewer for a 5A Region I District 5 test on Friday, January 19. Rider will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 41-30 league win over Granbury (Granbury, TX). The Bears record now stands at 21-5.
