South Tahoe Vikings (South Lake Tahoe, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Sparks Railroaders (Sparks, NV), 57-44 in a league bout.

With the win, South Tahoe upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Vikings host Hug (Reno, NV) to play the Hawks in a 3A Northern - West bout on Saturday, January 21. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 1-16. Hug lost 56-39 in their recent league bout against North Valleys (Reno, NV)

Next up, the Railroaders play the Truckee Wolverines (Truckee, CA) in a 3A Northern - West bout, on Wednesday, January 25. Sparks will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record.
