New Mexico High School Basketball - Valley tipped by Volcano Vista
January 18, 2024: Albuquerque, NM 87114 The Volcano Vista Hawks basketball team scored 41 points and held the visiting Valley Vikings to 34 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Hawks now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Mesa for a non-league contest on Monday, January 22. Volcano Vista will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 56-29 non-league win over Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-1.
The Vikings (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars enter the non-league contest with a 9-1 record. In their last contest, Atrisco Heritage Academy was nudged by Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM), 40-33, in a non-league contest.
