Ballston Spa Scotties (Ballston Spa, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Guilderland Flying Dutchmen (Guilderland Center, NY), 61-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Ballston Spa upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Scotties travel to Schenectady (Schenectady, NY) to play the Patriots in a Section 2 Suburban - Gray bout on Monday, January 22. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 7-6. Schenectady lost 84-74 in their recent league bout against Colonie Central (Albany, NY)

Next up, the Flying Dutchmen play the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans (Burnt Hills, NY) in a Section 2 Suburban - Gray bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Guilderland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 68-65 league loss to Albany (Albany, NY).
