Houghton Gremlins (Houghton, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Wright Red Devils (Ironwood, MI), 58-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Houghton upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Gremlins travel to Jeffers (Painesdale, MI) to play the Jets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Jets go into the bout with a record of 10-0.

Next up, the Red Devils play the Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes (Lake Linden, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Wright will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record.
