Texas High School Basketball - Alto overwhelms New Summerfield
January 23, 2024: New Summerfield, TX 75780 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Alto Yellowjackets (Alto, TX) and the host New Summerfield Hornets (New Summerfield, TX), saw Alto's basketball squad wallop New Summerfield by a tally of 98-20.
With the victory, Alto improves its record to 17-8 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Overton (Overton, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a 2A Region III District 22 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 19-3. Overton lost 43-37 in their recent league challenge against Douglass (Douglass, TX)
Next up, the Hornets confront the Mt. Enterprise Wildcats (Mt. Enterprise, TX) in a 2A Region III District 22 challenge, on Friday, January 26. New Summerfield will attempt to improve on its 4-21 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 13-9 record after their 57-42 league win over Carlisle (Price, TX).
