Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Burrell tops Ligonier Valley
January 23, 2024: Lower Burrell, PA 15068 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA) and the visiting Ligonier Valley Rams (Ligonier, PA), saw Burrell's basketball squad knock off Ligonier Valley by a tally of 68-50.
With the victory, Burrell improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Bucs travel to Derry (Derry, PA) to play the Trojans in a WPIAL 3A 3 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Derry lost 55-53 in their recent league challenge against Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA)
Next up, the Rams play the Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 3 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Ligonier Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 2-15 record after their 68-21 league loss to Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA).
