Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Burrell holds off Shady Side Academy
February 22, 2024: Pittsburgh, PA 15238 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA) and the host Shady Side Academy Bulldogs (Pittsburgh, PA), saw Burrell's basketball squad hold off Shady Side Academy by a tally of 48-44.
With the victory, Burrell improves its record to 14-8 on the campaign. The Bucs travel to Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 26. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 17-7. Mohawk Area won 54-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Yough (Herminie, PA)
