Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Apollo Ridge overwhelmed by Shady Side Academy
January 23, 2024: Spring Church, PA 15686 The Shady Side Academy Bulldogs basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the host Apollo Ridge Vikings to 21 in the Bulldogs league victory on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley for a WPIAL 3A 3 match on Friday, January 26. Shady Side Academy will meet a Vikings team coming off a 72-56 non-league loss to Southmoreland (Alverton, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 4-9.
With the defeat, Apollo Ridge moves to 2-15 on the year. The Vikings host Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA) to meet the Rams in a WPIAL 3A 3 match on Friday, January 26. The Rams enter the match with a record of 2-13. Ligonier Valley lost 68-50 in their recent league match against Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA)
