Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Deer Lakes overwhelms Apollo Ridge
February 2, 2024: Russellton, PA 15076 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA) and the visiting Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA), saw Deer Lakes's basketball squad wallop Apollo Ridge by a count of 78-23.
With the victory, Deer Lakes upgrades its record to 16-2 on the campaign. The Lancers host Highlands (Natrona Heights, PA) to play the Golden Rams in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Golden Rams come into the challenge with a record of 12-5. Highlands won 70-50 in their recent league challenge against Greensburg Salem (Greensburg, PA)
Next up, the Vikings play the Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 3 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Apollo Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 2-19 season record. The Bucs come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 51-48 league loss to Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA).
