The East Poinsett County Warriors basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting Piggott Mohawks to 30 in the Warriors league triumph on Thursday.

The Warriors now have a 15-8 record. They play next when they travel to Marmaduke for a 2A Region 3 game on Tuesday, January 28. East Poinsett County will confront a Greyhounds team coming off a 45-29 non-league loss to Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR). The Greyhounds record now stands at 9-18.

With the loss, Piggott falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Mohawks travel to Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR) to confront the Thunderbirds in a 2A Region 3 game on Tuesday, January 28. The Thunderbirds go into the game with a record of 9-14.
