Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC) and the host Buford Yellowjackets (Lancaster, SC), saw Cheraw's basketball squad hold off Buford by a tally of 53-52.

With the victory, Cheraw improves its record to 9-13 on the campaign. The Braves host North Central (Kershaw, SC) to confront the Knights in a AA Region 5 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 4-8. North Central lost 59-52 in their recent league challenge against York Prep (Rock Hill, SC)

Next up, the Yellowjackets confront the Andrew Jackson Volunteers (Kershaw, SC) in a AA Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Buford will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record.
