Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC) and the visiting York Prep Patriots (Rock Hill, SC), saw Cheraw's basketball squad hold off York Prep by a tally of 51-48.

With the victory, Cheraw improves its record to 8-13 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Buford (Lancaster, SC) to play the Yellowjackets in a AA Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 7-10. Buford lost 56-50 in their recent league challenge against Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC)
