Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Cross County Cougars (Stromsburg, NE) and the host McCool Junction Mustangs (McCool Junction, NE), saw Cross County's basketball squad hold off McCool Junction by a tally of 47-40.

With the victory, Cross County improves its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Osceola (Osceola, NE) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 26. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 11-4. Osceola won 54-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Nebraska Lutheran (Waco, NE)
