In Friday's league match, the host Palisades Pumas basketball team scored a tight 52-46 triumph over the Berry Cardinal.

In their next game, the Pumas meet the Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A South Meck match, on Tuesday, January 30. Palisades will attempt to better on its 12-7 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 17-2 record after their 75-30 non-league win over A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC).

With the defeat, Berry moves to 5-13 on the year. The Cardinal travel to South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Sabres in a 4A South Meck match on Tuesday, January 30.
