The Wilmington Wildcats basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Clifton Central Comets to 47 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Herscher for a Illinois Central 8 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Wilmington will battle a Tigers team coming off a 60-27 non-league loss to Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 4-20.

The Comets (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against Milford (Milford, IL). The Bearcats enter the non-league game with a 17-7 record. In their last game, Milford tipped Schlarman (Danville, IL), 62-28, in a league game.
