Illinois High School Basketball - Clifton Central tops Grant Park
January 13, 2023: Clifton, IL 60927 Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Grant Park Dragons (Grant Park, IL), 50-42 in a league bout.
With the victory, Clifton Central upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Comets host South Newton (Kentland, IN) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 0-11. South Newton lost 70-42 in their recent non-league bout against Milford (Milford, IL)
Next up, the Dragons play the Watseka Warriors (Watseka, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Grant Park will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 49-35 league loss to Georgetown-Ridge Farm (Georgetown, IL).
