Washington High School Basketball - Meridian thwarts Ferndale
January 28, 2025: Ferndale, WA 98248 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Meridian Trojans (Bellingham, WA) and the host Ferndale Golden Eagles (Ferndale, WA), observed Meridian's basketball team knock off Ferndale by a score of 52-39.
The Trojans (11-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA). The Bulldogs come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge with a 7-9 record. In their last challenge, Mount Vernon prevailed over Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA), 73-64, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Golden Eagles encounter the Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Ferndale will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Borderites come into the challenge with a 2-14 record after their 75-38 league loss to Lakewood (Arlington, WA).
