In Wednesday's league contest, the visiting Benjamin Franklin Chargers basketball team scored a good 64-48 win over the San Tan Foothills Sabercats.

The Chargers (9-13) will now prepare for their contest against Payson (Payson, AZ). The Longhorns come into the 3A Metro contest with a 21-5 record. In their last contest, Payson defeated Bourgade Catholic (Phoenix, AZ), 63-15, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Sabercats battle the Vista Grande Spartans (Casa Grande, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 31. San Tan Foothills will attempt to better on its 8-11 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 6-15 record after their 43-24 league loss to Casa Grande (Casa Grande, AZ).
