In Friday's league contest, the host Benjamin Franklin Chargers basketball team scored a good 56-41 win over the San Tan Foothills Sabercats.

The Chargers (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Horizon Honors (Phoenix, AZ). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Horizon Honors was topped by Phoenix Country Day (Paradise Valley, AZ), 68-35, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Sabercats battle the Gilbert Christian Knights (Gilbert, AZ) in a 3A Metro contest, on Wednesday, January 15. San Tan Foothills will attempt to better on its 5-7 season record. The Knights come into the contest with a 11-5 record after their 47-22 league win over Northwest Christian (Phoenix, AZ).
