The San Tan Foothills Sabercats basketball squad (Queen Creek, AZ), was crushed 62-12 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Payson Longhorns (Payson, AZ)

With the victory, Payson advances its record to 14-4 on the year. The Longhorns travel to Bourgade Catholic (Phoenix, AZ) to meet the Golden Eagles in a 3A Metro battle on Thursday, January 9. The Golden Eagles enter the battle with a record of 1-9. Bourgade Catholic lost 33-9 in their recent league battle against Gilbert Christian (Gilbert, AZ)
