North Carolina High School Basketball - First Flight fells Currituck County

January 30, 2025: Barco, NC 27917

The First Flight Nighthawks basketball team scored 74 points and limited the host Currituck County Knights to 55 in the Nighthawks league triumph on Thursday.

The Nighthawks now possess a 10-7 record. They play next when they host Camden County for a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal game on Friday, January 31. First Flight will confront a Bruins team coming off a 63-42 league loss to Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC). The Bruins record now stands at 9-8.

With the loss, Currituck County falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Manteo (Manteo, NC) to confront the Redskins in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal game on Friday, January 31. The Redskins go into the game with a record of 5-7. Manteo lost 90-62 in their recent league game against Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC)
