In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Palmer Moose basketball team scored a close 67-63 triumph over the Monroe Catholic Rams.

The Moose (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Chugiak (Chugiak, AK). The Mustangs go into the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Chugiak was tipped by Bartlett (Anchorage, AK), 54-39, in a league contest.
