January 31, 2023: Swansboro, NC 28584 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) and the host Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC), saw West Carteret's basketball squad wallop Swansboro by a tally of 63-30.
With the victory, West Carteret improves its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Patriots host Richlands (Richlands, NC) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 10-4. Richlands won 49-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC)
Next up, the Pirates confront the Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 2. Swansboro will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 59-32 non-league loss to South Lenoir (Deep Run, NC).
