The McDowell Titans basketball team scored 85 points and held the host Erwin Warriors to 63 in the Titans league triumph on Wednesday.

The Titans now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Buncombe for a 3A/4A Mountain contest on Friday, February 2. McDowell will battle a Black Hawks team coming off a 70-56 league loss to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC). The Black Hawks record now stands at 9-11.
