The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) and the visiting New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), observed Mt. Vernon's basketball team overcome New Castle by a margin of 57-39.

The Marauders (11-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Harrison (West Lafayette, IN). The Raiders come into the non-league challenge with a 12-3 record. In their last challenge, Harrison defeated Merrillville (Merrillville, IN), 82-62, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 1.
