Minnesota High School Basketball - Sleepy Eye edges New Ulm Cathedral
February 1, 2024: New Ulm, MN 56073 The Sleepy Eye Indians (Sleepy Eye, MN) basketball nipped the host New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds (New Ulm, MN), 55-53 in Thursday's league test.
The Indians (14-4) will now prepare for their test against Cedar Mountain (Morgan, MN). The Cougars go into the A Section 2 test with a 11-8 record. In their last test, Cedar Mountain got by Wabasso (Wabasso, MN), 77-31, in a non-league test.
The Greyhounds now own a 12-6 record. They play next when they host Springfield for a A Section 2 test on Monday, February 5. New Ulm Cathedral will battle a Tigers team coming off a 75-58 league win over Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart (Hector, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 13-6.
